Lusia Arumingtyas

Journalist

Lusia is a journalist based in Jakarta, Indonesia. She started her career in 2015 as a social and political journalist, and started writing about the environment in 2016 as a contributor at Mongabay Indonesia. She joined her current role as Youth Outreach Officer of Mongabay Indonesia in June 2023. She has long been passionate about environmental issues, including the climate crisis, indigenous peoples empowerment, and deforestation. She has been involved in several collaborative investigative projects, and received a number of reporting grants, including a Food Science and Technology grant (2017-2018), Health and Nutrition Journalists Academy grant (2019), Internews Earth Journalism Network on climate change reporting (2019) and Grantee Fellow at the Pulitzer Center’s Rainforest Journalism Fund (2021).
