Naghmeh Mostashar Nezami is an Iranian poet, translator, and academic, born in March 1981 in Tehran. With a Ph.D. in Poetry and a Ph.D. in Marine Science and Natural Resources Engineering, Mostashar Nezami’s unique academic background informs her poetry, blending lyrical beauty with a profound awareness of nature and humanity. Her literary career includes several acclaimed poetry collections, such as Traces of Light (2000), A Sip of Apple (2002), There Are Many Stars in Your Sky, But No Moon (2004), One Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty Years After You (2006), and How Much Room Does Your Suitcase Have (2018). In addition to her writing, Mostashar Nezami is deeply involved in Iran’s cultural and literary community. She has served as a member of the Supreme Council of Poetry and Music of IRIB, the Poetry Council and the Music and Song Council of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and as a judge for prestigious events like the Golden Pen Festival and the Students Poetry Festival. She is also the Secretary of the Arghavan Poet Association and a faculty member of the Fajr International Poetry Festival.
