Against Capitalism Entrapping

Capitalism builds on high-level consumerism and environmental exploitation as its engines of growth. The resulting surge in waste and carbon emissions severely accelerates ecological degradation and social inequality. Capitalism’s profit-driven priorities turn a deaf ear to the looming disasters of this trajectory. Corporations and states continue to plunder natural resources and pollute the environment, while communities dependent on these resources bear the consequences. Simultaneously, capitalism contributes to manufacturing new values through ubiquitous advertising of idealized lifestyles and standards that disguise its traps. Recognizing these traps is essential; only then can we nurture a life that thrives authentically, for both people and nature.
