Evi Mariani is a co-founder and the executive director of Project Multatuli, a journalism initiative focusing on serving the marginalized in Indonesia. Evi is a journalist with 20 years of experience who tells stories of people and makes an impact. Prior to building Project Multatuli, she was a managing editor at The Jakarta Post. In 2020, Evi brought three prestigious awards for the Post: IPMA Golden Award for Investigative Journalism, Tasrif Award and SOPA Awards for Excellence in Public Service Journalism. In 2023, she was among five nominees to receive the Independence Prize Award from Reporters Without Borders (RSF). Evi is a 2011-2012 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow.
