Abroorza Ahmad Yusra is a writer and cultural–environmental activist from West Kalimantan, Indonesia. He earned a degree in Indonesian Literature from Padjadjaran University and has been writing since his teenage years, producing works that frequently explore environmental concerns and local cultural narratives. He has authored several works on environmental issues in collaboration with WWF Indonesia and PRCF Indonesia, and is the author of the novels Danum (2021) and Diyawa si Kaki Merah (2025), both rooted in the social and ecological realities of Kalimantan. Beyond literature, he documents local culture and forest communities through film, capturing oral traditions and everyday life in remote regions. His dedication was highlighted when he spoke at the Indonesian Cultural Congress 2023 on the urgency of documenting cultural maestros. Through his literary and cultural practice, he continues to explore the intersection between humanity and the environment while advocating for more just and grounded perspectives on development.
