Barasuara

Formed in Jakarta in 2012, Barasuara is known for its energetic arrangements and poetic lyrics that blend rock, folk, blues, and pop. With members Iga Massardi, TJ Kusuma, Gerald Situmorang, Marco Steffiano, Asteriska Widiantini, and Puti Chitara, the band delivers music that evokes both spirit and reflection, as heard in their albums Taifun (2015), Pikiran dan Perjalanan (2019), and Jalaran Sadrah (2024). Barasuara’s works speak of journeys, courage, and the search for meaning, of how humans tread their own homeland through sound, movement, and memory.
