Angelina Enny

Angelina Enny, a writer originally from Kotabumi, Lampung, currently resides in Jakarta. Her work, Nokturnal Melankolia (Gramedia Pustaka Utama, 2017), was nominated for the Long List of Kusala Sastra Khatulistiwa 2018 and has been adapted into a series of monologues, Melakoni Nokturnal Melankolia (2018), and a theater performance, Melankolia (2018). She is a scriptwriter, actor, director, and producer who is also a co-founder of Teater Kedai (Jakarta).

In 2019, she collaborated with Dutch artist and poet Robin Block to publish a poetry book titled In Between, Di Antara (KPG) as part of the My Story, Shared History program, which was organized by Komunitas Salihara, Indische Herinneringscentrum, and Dutch Culture. Additionally, she was invited to participate as a writer at the Winternachten Festival in the Netherlands in 2020 and 2024.

The Irish Embassy designated her as an Inspirational Women for St. Brigid Day in 2022One of the stories in her third book, Mencari Sita di Hindia Belanda (Kepustakaan Populer Gramedia, 2024) won Piala HB Jassin 2024. Some of her poetry have been translated into German as part of the Expedition Poetry Jakarta x Heidelberg UNESCO City of Literature initiative.
