Anton Kurnia writes short stories, novels, essays and narrative nonfiction. His short story collection, Nostalgia (2023), was selected as one of the best fiction books of the year by Tempo magazine. His novel is Majnun (Madman, 2022). His travelogs are published as Banyak Jalan Menuju Praha (Roads to Prague, 2022). Earlier this year, he was invited as a writer-in-residence in Dilsberg by the UNESCO City of Literature Heidelberg. With extensive experience in the book publishing world, he served as a member of the National Book Committee (2016-2019). Currently, he also serves as the Chairman of the Literature Committee at the Jakarta Arts Council.
