Michael Pronko

Michael Pronko is a Professor of American Literature from Meiji Gakuin University. He has published five novels in the Detective Hiroshi series, winning several awards, as well as three short essay books on life in Tokyo. He actively writes about Japanese culture, the arts, community, and politics for Newsweek Japan, The Japan Times, and Artscape Japan.
