Rio Johan

Rio Johan is a writer born in Baturaja, South Sumatera; his short story collection, Aksara Amananunna (2014), was chosen as the Buku Prosa Pilihan Tempo (Tempo’s Choice for Prose) in 2014. He also won the 2018 Kusala Sastra Khatulistiwa for his novel Ibu Susu (2017) in the First and Second Work categories. He is also active as a translator of French fiction.
