“Wkwkwkwk: A Dictionary for Beginner” is a dance performance by Said Riyadi Abdii (producer: Iqbal Samudra), is an exploration and exploration of linguistic issues. More specifically, it is the question of how and to what extent the punctuation and power of language influence, intervene, and interrupt events in society within the framework of social choreography. It imagines a form of fluid and experimental performance, driven by audio and responding to the repertoire of everyday language and the reality of current social media as materiality. Said’s performance takes a position on language as an alternative tool to the singularity, establishment, dominance, and institutionalization of language in the dictionary. This is done as an effort to explore other perspectives of language. Because apart from being a means of communication, propaganda, politics, violence and ideology, language also has aesthetic potential and as an agent to create a good space and living environment. The performance itself is a satire on the “cold” dictionary and institutionalized language.
