Zulfah Nur Alimah earned her Master’s degree in Arabic Literary Criticism from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, graduating in 2021. Her journey as a literary translator began with the publication of her first translated novel, Night Letters by Hoda Barakat, in 2022. Since then, she has continued to bring contemporary Arabic literature to Indonesian readers through her translations, including two notable works by Palestinian writers: Minor Detail by Adania Shibli and The Curse Of The Mud Ball Kid by Mazen Maarouf. She currently works as a freelance translator and editor, and is also the mother of a son named Daniel.
